Prof. Neelke Doorn
Neelke Doorn is full professor “Ethics of Water Engineering” at the Department of Philosophy of Delft University of Technology and former assistant director of the 3TU.Centre of Ethics and Technology. She has authored/co-authored over 60 peer reviewed publications. Together with Diane P. Michelfelder, Neelke is Editor-in-Chief of the peer reviewed journal Techne: Research in Philosophy and Technology. Also with Diane, Neelke is editing the Handbook of Philosophy of Engineering, which is currently under contract with Routledge.
Neelke is member of the Board of the Society for Philosophy and Technology. She is also member of the Water Ethics Working Group of the Sustainable Water Future Programme.

Citizens are organising themselves to take over tasks from government and industry in an increasing number of sectors. Crowd-based initiatives must be organised properly for these innovations to be socially responsible.
