Dr Joyca Lacroix
Dr J.P.W. Lacroix holds a MSc degree in Cognitive Psychology and received her PhD degree from Maastricht University in 2007 for a thesis on a situated computational model of natural visual perception and memory. From 2006 to 2007, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Leiden University, where she investigated computational models of perception and human cognitive functioning. Since 2008, she holds a Senior Scientist position at Philips Research, Eindhoven, the Netherlands, where her research focuses on technologies that stimulate motivation, health behavior change, adherence and self-management. She works at the multidisciplinary interface of computer science/artificial intelligence and psychology. She collaborates with several academic partners and has received funding from EU funding programs. She has contributed to more than 30 scientific publications in the domains of psychology and health behavior change and holds various patents in these domains.
