Matchmaking website MVI top-up call ECCM launched
In the new ECCM MVI top-up call, collaboration of the (natural sciences) tenure trackers in the ECCM programme with researchers from the humanities and social sciences takes centre stage. The call connects research into electrochemical conversion and materials with research into Responsible Innovation (Dutch acronym MVI). The aim of the matchmaking website is to connect researchers from the social sciences and humanities to the ECCM tenure track researchers so that they can submit a joint proposal for the ECCM MVI top-up call.
Matchmaking ECCM and responsible Innovation has started
On the matchmaking website, the ECCM tenure track researchers introduce their line of research in a presentation video. Researchers from the social sciences and humanities can contact them if they want to enter into a collaboration with one of them. Furthermore, Prof. Eefje Cuppen explains the importance of MVI Research on the matchmaking website. She also shares her experiences with MVI Research in interdisciplinary collaboration.
ECCM and societal components
ECCM makes it possible to store energy from electricity in chemical compounds that can be used as a raw material or fuel (such as hydrogen). ECCM is the key to new innovations demanded by society. The call invites researchers from the humanities and social sciences to submit proposals together with the natural sciences tenure trackers from the ECCM call to realise the societal components of research into ECCM. The total budget available for research proposals is 2.3 million euros.
Focus on Responsible Innovation
MVI research is aimed at important societal challenges and the innovations that these require. It explores the societal aspects of these technological and other innovations at an early stage so that these can be taken into account during the design and development process. The aim of MVI research is to realise innovations that are acceptable to society.
Please contact the ECCM tenure track researchers directly to discuss your ideas for collaboration. If you have doubts about which project you want to collaborate with, or if you would like more information, then please contact:
